Modern high performance polymers offer solutions previously thought impossible through the use of plastics. Parkway Aerospace & Defense has extensive experience in the design and production of components sourced in high performance and exotic resins. Used in applications requiring high resistance to heat or chemicals, high performance plastics such as Torlon® PAI and PEEK™ can replace many metals or other traditional high-stress materials.
Parkway Aerospace & Defense is one of a limited number of North American molders to be approved by both Solvay Advanced Polymers for the injection molding of Torlon® PAI and by Victrex plc for the injection molding of PEEK™.
High Performance Injection Molding
While similar in theory to standard plastic injection molding, high performance injection molding requires some specialized machine and mold alterations. Parkway Aerospace & Defense houses the equipment needed to be a world class Torlon® and PEEK molder, including low-pressure reciprocating screws, material drying systems and hot runner systems.
